Instead of constantly asking ourselves what could go wrong with placing high-powered phones equipped with equally formidable cameras in the hands of hundreds of millions of people, every now and then, it’s good to ask what could go right.
With far too much of the wrong recordings making their way into our lives (looking at you, Kim K.), every now and then, someone, somewhere, captures something that truly deserves recognition. Often enhancing outside perspectives on things like the great outdoors and our cherished wildlife, these videos offer a glimpse into a wild and untamed world much of humanity, unfortunately, has never experienced.
A fishing guide in Alaska was fortunate enough to have his high-powered phone on his person while he was traversing a swift moving river and watched as an Alaskan brown bear chased and eventually overtook a cow moose.
The video seems to have been pieced together from a number of clips compiled during the altercation. Displaying the true forces and utter beauty of nature, reminding us all that perhaps we’ve been a little too far removed from it for much too long.
