Utah wildlife officials teamed up with a local canal company earlier this week when a cow moose turned up and got stuck inside a concrete triangle from within a canal along the side of a roadway.
The incident happened in South Weber, roughly 25 miles south of Salt Lake City and it remains unclear how exactly the moose ended up in such a precarious position. In an effort to move the moose along without any major demolition or construction, a front end loader was utilized by crews on scene with hopes of moving the moose safely out of the canal.

According to reports, the cow was quite stubborn and refused to take the path prescribed by the front-end loader driver.
Officials then decided it was time to remove two massive concrete blocks by using a backhoe to create a more cohesive path for the trapped moose. After a bit of shuffling around, the backhoe was then used to give the moose a bit of encouragement to free herself. As the machine approached, she skidded up the escape wall of the canal wall and wandered off on her own.
