A 16-year-old from Livingston, Texas has been chosen to participate in an all-expense paid hunting trip at a nearby ranch.
This year’s fundraiser for the Pickin’ Tha Hunt Foundation (PTH), an nonprofit organization that provides funding for charity hunting trips, took place last weekend in Cleveland, TX. The annual event features live concerts by local country artists including Jason Allen, and is attended by over 300 event goers.
As part of this year’s celebration, the combined crew from PTH and DNA Outdoors announced that Ty Gibson would be accompanying the DNA Outdoors and PTH personalities on their next televised hunt set to air on the Pursuit Channel.
Ty has been fighting brain cancer for longer than anyone should and has already notched two wins against the fatal disorder in the past. Unfortunately, the bad news keeps coming for the Livingston teen as yet again, he has been instructed that treatment of his anaplastic ependymoma tumor is no longer an option.
In an effort to squeeze as much as he can out of life, Ty continues to fight and with the support of his parents, will partake in this once in a lifetime hunt next month.
The upcoming hunt is a high intensity thermal hog hunt set to take place at the 3S Ranch in Tarkington, Texas. Along with the stars of the show, Ty will get the opportunity to take in a unique hunt many of us dream about.
We’re praying for Ty and hope that this is one of many more hunts he gets to participate in.
