The legend of the elusive Bigfoot lives on, at least for one Idaho woman who narrowly escaped the wrath of the beast, before striking a deer with her Subaru last week.
Traversing down U.S. Highway 95 on Wednesday, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported that a 50-year-old woman struck a deer while apparently being distracted by something otherworldly.
According to reports from the Benewah County Sheriff’s Office, she told officers she noticed a large, hairy beast chasing a deer on the side of the road while she was driving. As she checked one of her rear view mirrors in an attempt to observe the 7-8 foot tall “shaggy” pursuer, the deer suddenly jumped in front of her.
According to sheriff’s officials, the incident was filed as a vehicle versus deer collision. Reports remain void of any evidence of a Sasquatch on the scene.
