While we all dream of spotting a large bull moose, whether we are hunting or not, spotting an albino moose is something not many on this planet will ever experience. Given the rare condition of albinism, those that have been fortunate enough to spot one of a particular species of animal, such as a moose tend to cherish that memory.
In the fall of 2013, an albino moose was shot by a hunter in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, in an area in which sightings of two other albino moose had been reported for six years prior. After one was shot by hunters, another one was found to have died from natural causes. No information is available regarding the third albino moose in the area.
