A Florida man witnessed a unique wildlife struggle while taking a break at a rest stop on Interstate 75, aptly referred to by most as Alligator Alley, while on their way to Naples, Florida. Will James told Local 10 News that he and his family made a stop within the Big Cypress National Preserve and he was alerted when he heard what sounded like a dog snarling and barking.
James followed a trail near the rest area and discovered a coyote with a boa constrictor wrapped around the animal’s neck and body and noted that the coyote was biting and kicking the snake.
Eventually the snake resisted and allowed the coyote to walk away relatively unharmed, with only a bite the snake placed on the animal’s hind leg.
