Florida Fish and Wildlife Officers spent over eight hours removing a black bear from the campus of an elementary school in Fort Myers, Florida.

Stuart Spoede, a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer, stated that the bear had been spotted near Three Oaks Elementary School a few days prior before returning to the school on March 23rd.

Spoede also mentioned that because the bear was not considered a “nuisance bear”, he will be relocated rather than euthanized.
