Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Gets Social with #HuntingIsConservation Campaign

HuntingIsConservation_2016

With the anticipated arrival of this year’s SHOT show in Las Vegas, the Rockey Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) has launched an extensive social media campaign. The campaign aims, as the name suggests, to broadcast the role hunting plays in conservation.

The announcement was made on the RMEF’s website with a statement from RMEF’s vice president of Marketing.

“Hunters play the primary role in contributing to North America’s wildlife, habitat and resource conservation,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing. “We have more than 2.3 million people who currently follow or have visited our social media platforms. The goal of this campaign is to reach out well beyond those numbers to hunters and non-hunters alike in order to educate, inform and reinforce how hunters and hunting drive and fund conservation efforts across the United States.”

Utilizing vital statistics from industry organizations and other sources, these social media posts will be broadcast every Monday, with the exception of holidays. These posts will be in the form of blog posts, articles, videos, links and other forms of digital media that aim to highlight hunting as a major economic driver for the United States and as a the single largest funding mechanism for managing wildlife resources.

The posts will be displayed in the RMEF’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. If you aren’t already following them, I highly recommend that you do.
