Charles Helms came across one hell of a hazard on the third hole at Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Palmetto, Florida. Turning to his video camera, Helms recorded the massive alligator make his way toward a lake located close to where he and his fellow golfers were standing.
Helm’s estimates the gator measures in at about 15 feet in length as you can hear him contemplate whether or not it is “two people in an alligator suit”…”I’ve never seen a gator that big!” he says.
“I didn’t know if we were being punked or something,” Helms told ABC News when he saw the gator rumble across the fairway. “I was stunned and silent,” he said.
You can’t help but watch in awe as Helms’ buddy gets in the frame to “get next to it for perspective.”
Leaves me to wonder if this gator could rival the 800 pound monster hunters bagged earlier this year…
