Bill Davis of Washington State posted a video to his Facebook page that has caught the internet’s attention.  In the video it shows a young deer that has found itself in somewhat of a sticky situation.

Drowing in soft mud, Davis utilized the backhoe he was driving to safely extract the black tail deer.

“Found a couple yearling black tail deer stuck in some mud! Couldn’t watch them struggle!” Davis said in his Facebook post.

Davis came across the deer while he was working at a property that belongs to the company he works for and quickly got to work with the help of another man, eventually scooping the deer out of the mud with the large bucket.

“I wouldn’t have seen them if they hadn’t moved and caught my eye! I’m an avid deer hunter and it broke my heart to see this!” he wrote.

Davis went on to state that he stuck close to the muddly location to ensure the deer did not return in the comments on his Facebook post.  He then posted a second video to his profile later in the week.
