Connecticut Man Arrested for Trying to Prevent Deer Hunting

After removing a hunter’s tree stand from his neighbor’s property in November of 2015, 49 year old Derek Oatis has been charged with interfering with the lawful taking of wildlife. According to police, Oatis turned himself in on February 17, 2016 and was released on a promise to appear in court.

The Connecticut Judicial Branch website reports that Oatis is scheduled to be arraigned for a harassment of a hunter charge tomorrow.
