Bass Pro Donates Over 80 Boats to Harvey Relief Efforts in Texas

bass-pro-missouri

While they may be headquartered many miles away in Missouri, the team at Bass Pro Shops is doing their part to assist those affected by the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey over the past week.

Working directly with local, state and federal agencies, which include police, fire and rescue teams, Bass Pro has provided relief efforts with over 80 boats.

The Tracker boats donated by the outdoor retailer are in use by teams on the ground in the Houston area.  In addition to the watercraft, the retailer also earmarked $40,000 worth of relief supplies through a donation to the American Red Cross.

Supporting efforts for local residents and employees of Houston-area stores through their Bass Pro Cares Fund, the organization is encouraging the public to continue donating to the American Red Cross.

“The company remains in close contact with the governor’s office, first responders, and associates on the ground to monitor response efforts and assess ongoing needs. Bass Pro Shops encourages all customers and community members who want to support relief efforts to donate directly to the American Red Cross.”
